Changing the Time and Date on Comdial Telephone Systems

Instructions for Comdial DSU, DXP, DX120 and DX80 PBX Systems

The best time to check for frayed or tangled handset cords and worn telephone handsets is when the time change occurs. Replacing worn items can help prevent an unnecessary service call and expense.

Comdial DSU and DSU II: Change the System Time

Note: The system time must be changed from extension 10.

  • Dial 746.
  • Dial 01, then enter the year as 00–99, the month as 01–12, and the day as 01–31.
  • Enter the time using a 24-hour format: 00–23 for the hour and 00–59 for the minutes.
  • Dial # to save the time, then press SPEAKER to exit.

Comdial DXP: Change the System Time

Note: The time can be changed from any extension.

  • Press INTERCOM, then dial *#0*.
  • Select 01 to enter the date and time.
  • Enter the date in this format: MM DD YY.
  • Enter the time in this format: HH MM.
  • Press # to save the changes.

Comdial DX120 and DX80: Change the Date and Time

Note: The date and time can be changed from any display phone.

  • Press FEATURE, then dial #*.
  • Enter your password. If the password has not been changed, enter ########.
  • Press SHOW, then enter 081405 or 0803, and press SAVE.
  • When the year option appears, press NEXT if no change is needed. To change it, press CHNG, enter the year as 01–99, then press SAVE and NEXT.
  • When the month option appears, press NEXT if no change is needed. To change it, press CHNG, enter the month as 01–12, then press SAVE and NEXT.
  • When the day option appears, press NEXT if no change is needed. To change it, press CHNG, enter the day as 01–31, then press SAVE and NEXT.
  • When the weekday option appears, press NEXT if no change is needed. To change it, press CHNG, select the weekday, then press NEXT.
  • When the hour option appears, press CHNG, enter the hour in 24-hour military format, then press SAVE and NEXT.
  • When the minutes option appears, press CHNG, enter the minutes as 00–59, then press SAVE.
  • Press HOLD to exit.
