The SBX IP 320 starts with three outside lines and eight station ports and can expand to support up to 32 stations/users, depending on configuration. Able to use both digital and IP phone desk sets, the telephones come in both a 24 and 8 button model. The SBX IP-320 can be configured to use SIP trunks. Available SBX IP 320 features may include an automated attendant and voicemail options, caller ID, call forwarding, speed dialing, paging, door-phone support, conference calling, hunt groups, music-on-hold, and support for SIP trunks or IP networking when properly licensed and configured.

The SBX IP-320 is a legacy telephone system rather than a current new-system platform, but it can remain a practical choice for a small business when it is stable, properly maintained, and still meets everyday calling needs. Keeping the system in service makes the most sense when programming backups are available, extension and trunk assignments are documented, compatible phones and replacement parts can still be obtained, and a knowledgeable dealer or technician is available for support. It may also remain a viable system when the business has tested its SIP trunk provider, gateway, or adapter with the installed SBX IP software version.
